The party, whose leader and presidential candidate is Rtd. Major Hamza AL Mustafa, the former CSO to the late General Sani Abacha, is waxing very strong in the state. He explained that he has the strong contacts in local and international donor agencies that could be handy for the desired rapid development of the state and stimulation of economic activities that would create jobs.

As a multimedia consultant and aide to the former governor of Sokoto state as well as eight other state governors of the defunct ANPP under Alhaji Yusuf Ali, he is well positioned and exposed for the tortuous job of managing the challenges of the state.
